Mexico Health Review, in collaboration with Hermes Systems, hosted a private cocktail for technology experts and healthcare veterans this Wednesday at Torre Punta Reforma. With over 70 attendees, the Networking Cocktail “Revolutionizing Care Through Technology” became a convenient platform for business development.
The event got off to an excellent start with an opening presentation by Elie Haibi, Director General of Hermes Systems, who spoke about the synergies that can be achieved through technology and how they benefit patients throughout all steps of care. Haibi remarked that while technology is extremely powerful, it is not being used to its full potential in Mexico and that has to change. “The answer lies in an emphatic design that involves what the user thinks and feels,” he said. “We believe in a model that involves the user in the creation of solutions.”
He was followed by the night’s featured speaker: Juana Ramírez, CEO and Founder of Grupo SOHIN, who spoke of the almost infinite opportunities technology can bring to healthcare practices and patients. “Technology does more than improving the patient’s life, it also permits the budget optimization in healthcare institutions,” she said. Ramírez also dwelled on the many challenges to overcome to actually bring these technologies to market, especially for small companies. She finished her speech calling for increased collaboration among all members in the sector.
Mexico Health Review will host two more cocktails during 2018 and its main event Mexico Heath Summit on Sept. 6. All of these will bring together key players and decision makers of the healthcare sector.
